‘I am overwhelmed!’ Iga Swiatek STUNNED after defeating Sofia Kenin to win French Open girls’s title (VIDEO) — RT Sport Information
The Polish tennis miracle Iga Swiatek defeated Sofia Kenin not only at Roland Garros. She dominated them to remarkably capture her first career grand slam in a one-sided French Open final.
Swiatek pounded Kenin with a barrage of breathtaking passes to claim the 6-4, 6-1 title and become Poland’s first Grand Slam champion.
The 19-year-old started quickly and took a 3-0 lead before Kenin hit back. But the Pole would not be denied as it found its consequence in claiming the first sentence.

The second set was even clearer as she shot past Kenin 6-1 and became the first player to win the women’s title without dropping a single set during the tournament during Justine Henin’s 2007.
After her dominant win, Swiatek admitted she didn’t fully understand her performance.
“I’m overwhelmed,” she said.
“I won a Junior Grand Slam two years ago and now I’m here. It feels like such a short time.”
Swiatek’s triumph was also the opportunity for the lowest ranked player to win the title since the ranking was introduced in 1975, and she said her success is currently a trend in tennis as a multitude of underdogs have started to enjoy success in big games.
“It had to be like that, another underdog won a grand slam in women’s tennis,” she said.
“It’s just so often that it’s crazy.”
