Massive police presence seen in Louisville as protests proceed
Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron promised to “vigorously pursue” charges brought against one of the three officials involved in Breonna Taylor’s case.
A grand jury announced today that it has indicted former Louisville Police Officer Brett Hankison on three cases of willful first-degree harm.
Cameron also announced that he will establish “a task force to review the process of securing and executing search warrants in Kentucky.” Members of the public, law enforcement agencies, elected officials, defense lawyers and representatives of the judiciary will join the task force, he said.
“I believe a thorough search warrant review is needed to determine if changes are needed and to establish best practices,” he said.
