Mike Tyson explains weird TV interview with Piers Morgan after followers declare boxing icon was ‘excessive’ — RT Sport Information
Mike Tyson explained his bizarre interview on British breakfast TV show Good Morning Britain, in which he looked sleepy and blurred his words, by saying he was tired after getting up for a long time.
The heavyweight boxing icon appeared live on video link from Los Angeles for the ITV show hosted by Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
Fifty-four-year-old Tyson was asked about a number of topics prior to his anticipated ring comeback against boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. later this year, but gave muttered answers and even appeared on the verge of falling asleep.

The awkward scenes led fans to speculate that Tyson had indulged his known love of marijuana or was simply tired and made it late at night on the west coast of the United States due to the eight hour time difference with the UK.
Tyson himself has now cleared things up, saying he was exhausted and struggling to stay awake after a busy day of training prior to his show bout with Jones in November.
“Hey buddy @piersmorgan and UK. I tried to stay up late for an interview but fell asleep and like a lion, it’s hard to wake up once I’ve slept,” the former “worst man on the planet” wrote in a tweet .
“Train hard and go to bed early. I didn’t have a monitor so I couldn’t see you guys and I forgot to look at the camera.”

Morgan replied immediately, saying he appreciated the news as “some viewers were concerned”.
No problem, champ. We could see that you were a little tired! It was very late in LA. Appreciate this news as some viewers have been concerned. https://t.co/SpzP4bMg0x

The clarification would surely be in line with the training regimen that Tyson has often shared with fans on his social media accounts, as he demonstrated his skills in advance of his competition with 51-year-old Jones Jr., due to be held in California on November 28th , sharpens.
