Russell Hornsby To Recur In Third Season Of Netflix Sequence – Deadline
EXCLUSIVE: Lincoln Rhyme alum Russell Hornsby will play a major recurring role in the upcoming third and final season of Netflix’s family sci-fi adventure series Lost in Space.
Hornsby’s role is kept under lock and key for the time being.
Lost in Space is a modern reinterpretation of the classic science fiction series of the 1960s. 30 years in the future, space colonization is now a reality and the Robinson family are among those tested and selected to give themselves new lives in a better world. But if the new colonists suddenly get off course on the way to their new home, they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, light years from their original destination.
The series stars are Toby Stephens, Molly Parker, Maxwell Jenkins, Mina Sundwall, Taylor Russell, Ignacio Serricchio and Parker Posey. Zack Estrin, Jon Jashni, Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless are serving as executive producers.
Hornsby stars in the drama series Lincoln Rhyme, which aired on NBC last year. Hornsby returned to NBC last year after a successful six season run with the genre crime drama Grimm. Most recently he appeared as Maverick “Mav” Carter in The Hate U Give, directed and produced by George Tillman Jr., and as Buddy Marcelle in Creed II. He also starred in Netflix’s Seven Seconds and reappeared on Showtime’s The Affair. Hornsby will again be looked after by ICM Partners, Cohn / Torgan Management and Hansen Jacobson.
